[mk2] wiper motor reconditioning

  i finally drug the '84 out again, despite the bad 2nd gear synchro, to
drive around again for a while. i noticed, however, that the wiper motor
was extrememly slow. just wondering what can be done to recondition it
to run better (assuming it's getting proper voltage). i know there is a
plug od some sort on the end. any chance of using a solvent or eat away
the old grease or perhaps melting the grease with a torch and draining
it out the plug hole? i'm not opposed to taking the cover off, but just
wonder if there's an easier was before i go that far. thanx.
