Will 1.7 (1.6) head work on 86 GLI (HT) motor?

Methinks my oil pump went and the result was a seized
camshaft in my freshly swapped GLI engine...  I have a
fresh head off of my 1.7, with a G-grind, but
unfortunately it's got small valves.  I just need to
get this thing running again, will it fit ok?  Which
head gasket would I use?
