tranny woes



4k on a 16v
works perfect cold/warm.
when hot (idling/traffic/100-110c), at standstill, doesnt want to go into 1st or 2nd.
Will go if i really push it hard. Also will go in easy if done while slowing down (vs. stopped).
gets worse with engine heat, gets better when it cools off.
tranny fluid is good (redline, just filled).
started doing it after the trip to waterfest (where i lost about 1/2 qt of fluid due to leaky output
seal).

im thinking either some kind of temp sensitive syncro thing or somehow the clutch is trying to grab
too much when its hot. it may have some sort of sachs sport clutch and a lightened flywheel.
