Re: 82 jetta radiator in a 84 scirocco

Brian,
I actually now have too much cooling for my 1847cc 8V Techtonics motor
The system I have is fairly simple and OEM looking.

Later Cabriolet radiator with overflow bottle. (mounted next to windshield
washer bottle)
Mounted perfectly and looks OEM.
Sourced a GTI metal coolant pipe (around front/drivers side of engine)
Mocal Oil cooler in front of radiator
Stock thermostat and fan switch
Stock 81 Sciroco fan and shroud
Running 5W30 Mobil 1 in sunny CA. Doh! 8^)
(I am going to switch back to 10W30 for longevity reasons)

Oil temp rarely over 180*F
Water temp rarely out of bottom white box (gauge in tach)

Now this is on a "new" motor with only about 20K on it now.

This reminds me..........look for new post.

Randy
