Tech: Timing Belt Replacement

I am going to replace the timing belt on the 87.

What is the best way to remove the harmonic balancer and bolt?

I was thinking of lining everything up and put the car in gear and then have 
my wife stand on the brakes to keep the engine from moving (engine not 
running of course)to remove the bolt.

Then I was going to use my steering wheel puller hub and 2 of the outer 
pulley bolts to pull the balancer.

Does this sound reasonable?
