Ok listies,

81 S rocko-  drives great but every once in a while I notice a loss of
power indicated in the RPM gauge.  Usually the loss is so brief that I
barely feel it.  But... sometimes the loss is extensive for 30 seconds-
no throttle response at all- and even died once.       Anyone know the
possible causes?
 This is embarrasing when Im pulling off the line ahead of a moron in a
honda- and he whoops me as a result.
