Vermont Scirocco Show is done! <sorta long>

List,

Whell the local Vermont VW show has come to an end. Josh Able was the only
lister that came up for the show, excluding me and Justin Morse, the only
vermont listers i believe. The weekend basically sucked ass for me, and
probably when Josh gets home, you will hear some crazy tails from him too :(
It basiclly was waterfest revisited weather wise. It didn't start to get
nice out untill everyone was leaving the show. On saturday night, i went in
my rocco (that is in dire need of a new master cylender and front wheel
bearings) to go meet him to escort him to my house. On my short trip to go
get Josh, (i will let him tell ya about the hotell escipade) i get about 7
seperate instances where my oil pressure idiot light blinked and made that
horrible buzz noise. When we got home, i checked my oil level, and it was
ok. I figured that maybee it could be a freak thing.
Saturday night, we pulled my car, then Josh's, then my frinds JEtta GLX,
then my sister Sara's rocco into the garage and vaccumed them all out. Then
we pooled our money together and my alcoholic of a sister made my cousin
take her out ot buy some beer. We hung out in the garage untill about 1am.
Then we decided to go to bed, cause Josh wanted to wake up at 6:30am!
Apperently hee needs a little longer to wash his car than the rest of us ;)
We struck out for the show at about 9:15 in the morning on sunday ( in the
rain) I rode with Josh, cause my rocco didn't feel like taking me to the
show. We get there and everyone in our caravan (7 cars) parked and started
to shine up their cars. For the first few hours, Josh's car is the center
of attention, all us vt hicks thought it was pretty impressive! ;) This is
a nice cold, wet and windy day. Josh descovers that he has no "do do dee"
relay when he opens his doors, so we find one in a bin of parts for a dollar
and put it in.
Finally the judges come around to the watercooled class. Now because this
show is run by air cooled guies, the judging sheets were for air cooled
cars. Josh got points deducted because he was lacking a spare tire and
jack setup (because of his stereo system)........wtf is up with that crap?
Anywhoo, Josh left sorta frustrated, and i don't blame him. I think im
gonna write a letter or email to the people who run the show, and request
that a seperate judging sheet be made up for watercooled to make things a
little more fair. There was also a rocco there that made all of us sick to
our stomacs. It basiclly showed that somtimes you should think twice before
you dump your girlfriend. This was at one point a pretty decient rocco,
untill the guys ex drove her jeep into the front of it, jumped on the roof
and pried the sunroof up, then smashed out the window and ripped the
interior to shreds stealing a bunch of stuff. DOH!
Anywhoo, overall the watercooled scene at the show this year was hoppin!
There was the most that there has ever been. I took some pics, and will get
em scanned in if i have some time. Oh whell, maybee next year will be
better weather and fair judging. I know that Josh proabaly won't be back
up, hehe, but maybee next year we can get some more listers in the show.
Hopefully i will be able to get my rocco back into shape early next spring
so i won't miss any events. Untill then i will hope and pray that my 16v
jetta winter car doesn't shit the bed on me! Have fun everyone.
