Value of Passat 2.0L 16V engine?

I have the opportunity to buy a 2.0L 16V engine from a Passat, 33K miles on
it.

What is a fair price for it, if it is in good condition? What should I look
out for in terms of incompatabilities, etc? I plan to swap heads with my 1.8
16V mill, original equipt. in my '88 MKII.

If it has A/C on it, anyone interested. OK, quit laughing, didn't think
so...
