RE: Flames from exhaust....HOW TO

There are a bunch of Honda drivers in my area that have these type kits on
there car. I think its funny to see there group run around town with
stickers on there car like fire breathing dragon, fire breathing CRX,type-R
Fire breathers club. They have a web page (or at least there sticker says
they do). I am just not sure how so many of you "VW" people know how to do a
"rice mod" or for that matter why you would want to. I guess this is one of
those acceptable "Rice mods" that you "VW" people have now a days. It does
help to have the exhaust as big as you can possibly put on though (such as a
beer party ball). Must say I am mighty intimidated and impressed when I hear
a type-R tach 8-10k then have a nice fire ball blow out the bong shaped tail
pipe. I am compiling ,for those who are not in the know (like me), a list of
"acceptable rice mods" to be done to your VW (who knows I might get it
published!). It would be best if you stopped by my web page to see exactly
what is accepted by "VW" people BEFORE you proceed on your next mod. You
never know a person who is "Rice" just might have it done and it might not
be cool!

Subject: Flames from exhaust....HOW TO

Ok, well Im juvenile, and I cannot resist any longer, lemme tell ya how to
do it !

1) Gather Supplies :
Windshield Squirter Module (Generic WalMart $12 (In the windshield
      washer fluid isle))
CIS Injector or homemade variant ($5 Junkyard special)
SOLID STATE (electronic) Grill Igniter (Home Depot $14)
      3/8" drill bit
      Sheet Metal screw (Length varies)
      High-temp Silicone Sealant
Ok, here's what to do
 1) Drill hole approx 1" from back of muffler in the tailpipe, fit injector
      seal with silicone.
2) Approx 3-4" rearward, drill hole for the insulated igniter prong, fit in
approx
     1/4 way in, seal again.
3) 180 Degrees from the insulated prong, screw in the sheetmetal screw,
leaving
a 1/2" gap between the two tips
4) connect the wires to the the electronics package (may have to lengthen
wires to get the big red button in the passenger compartment)..Test to make
sure you have a spark.
5) Run power to the back where the 'fuel pump' is to be located...wire up
pump via switch.
6) Run line from a gas can to the pump, then to the fuel injector
7) Engine may have to be above 1800RPM or so...actually, I would highly
recommend it !
8) FIRE

***Notice, I am writing this SOLELY for EDUCATIONAL purposes, I am not
responsible for damage/loss of exhaust system, car, body parts, small
singed, previously furry house pets, etc.....*****
