Re: TDI Banned in NY, NJ and CA?!




Jason this is a misconception!!!  VW actually decieded not to sell the
cars their out of their own accord.  Long story short, because of the
emissions laws in those states, for every TDI they brought in they COULD
NOT bring in 2 gas cars......see the problem?  These states have "Fleet
Emissions" standards which allow a car company so much pollution from the
cars they sell, it limits them on a yearly basis on how many they can
bring in and sell.  So VWOA decided they wanted to bring in as many as
possible, that means NO TDI!  I have the letter from VWOA saved somewhere
if you are interested...
