A sad day at the Dismantler

Hey all,
I went to one of those donation yards today looking for a few knicks-knacks 
for my 78. I got their and paid my $1 to get in and the guy didn't even check 
my tool box. I started towards the back of the yard where the guys says all 
the VW's are. I get almost their and I see this Mars Red MK2. I walk over to 
it thinking that it was in the wrong place. Nope. This car was as clean as 
can be except for the drivers seat, even had a sunroof and the rear deck lid 
cover (amazing). All original with only 110K on the speedo. Had AC and power 
mirrors still intact. It still had the JVC stereo in it. I looked at the two 
other MK1's they had their for parts and came back to look at the MK2 and 
somebody had taken the stereo out of it and destroyed the center console.
On the way out I talked to the guy about the Scirocco and he said if I had 
come by yesterday I could have got the whole car for about $100. I was asking 
him about if their was any more in the yard and he said they just got done 
crushing 1500 cars and about 50 or so where Scirocco's.
