You have to run a full interior.

No.  You can only remove things to the point of having a base model.  That 
means you can remove the A/C, but you have to have a heater.  You can lose 
the rear wiper.

You will be more competitive in Street Prepared.  In Prepared, you really 
need to build up your motor, and then you still won't be really competitive. 
  IMHO, Street Prepared is very fun and not too expensive.
