[mk2] misc. questions

my car is an '86 8v.

1) i took my seat out to have it re-stuffed. ever since putting it back
in (i think) my fasten seatbelt light hasn't come on. the wires are
hooked up. any ideas?

2) i have a threaded bolt (for lack of a better term) on the bottom of
my trans. i understand this to be where i empty my trans fluid from. on
the top, i don't have one of these, but instead, i only have a plug-type
thing that you pull up on. below is a hole where it looks like i can
pour in new fluid. this is a different setup from what i've seen. did
the po replace the plug or is this something not for the trans?

3) on the underside of the trans (passenger side) there is a green thing
to the inside of the transaxle, where it enter into the transmission.
whould i be seeing this? it looks like a bearing or housing of some sort
and it stick out about 1" all the way around.

4) i also noticed while down below that my transmission has three bolts
holding onto the back of it. the top one is missing it's nut. should i
fix this immediately (looks like it's been there for a while like this)
and/or did/will it lead to damage?

5) i bought and installed a one piece speedo cable, thereby bypassing my
egr unit. will this have any negative effects on my car (the reminder
light didn't work anyway)?
