New 16v Key!

Whell, after my first experience at Daun's, i reallized that i did not have 
the right key for my '87 16v rocco.  I went to the dealer the other day and 
placed an order for the correct key with the knifty little flashlight and vw 
16v symbol on it.  I payed $42.12 for the damn thing, but in my mind it was 
damn worth it!
Whell at some point in the cars life, somone changed the door and hatch 
locks so i have a really stupid all steel key for the doors.  I know that i 
can have the doors retoumbled to match the new ignition key, but i don't 
know how expencive it will be.  anyone ever had this done?
