Most of the stuff out there is cast, and that's what I went with. If you
talked to TT, they'll tell you that they had an 8,000 to 9,000 rpm drag
racing Rabbit with cast pistons. That goes against the theory that forged
pistons are for motors that spin up more.

When going with forged pistons you usually run them at a looser tolerance
because they will expand with heat, so you car may sound like a diesel when
it is cold. Because of the looser tolerance, your engine may not last as
long because they are banging around in there. Pretty much what I determined
is that a forged piston is really only for a race only motor.

If you're going to be driving it on the street, you'll be better off with a
cast piston because they will save you money, and you'll have a longer
lasting motor.
