Decent... yes.  Better than decent?  No!  California roads have been getting
lousy ratings in surveys of road quality nationwide.. saw one blurb 
recently that had us rated WAY down low in relation to other states.  This
really sucks - we have VERY road-friendly weather out here, plus the state
collects MONDO gas taxes and vehicle registration fees...  ugh.
