Re: Wheel & Tire Dilemma.

heheh,

I think the last time someone called me "Mr. Ting",
I was a defendant..... :)

I would definitely recommend the GC setup, particularily if
you already have struts/shocks.
Here's my setup:
Bilstein sports all the way around
GC coilovers front and rear with 375lb 6" springs up front
and 300lb 7" in the rear.
It's a bit on the harsh side with those rates, but that's why I have a daily
driver :)

The install is very easy, and the parts are of good quality.
I believe it was approx $400 for the set, and you can choose your
own spring lengths and rates in 25lb increments.
Some advantages:
corner balancing (if you're an autoXer)
only takes a few minutes to raise or lower, which is
especially nice if you have a load in the rear.
good looks (if you're into that sort of stuff :P)
and no need to re-invest in a whole new strut/shock setup.
I had dumped $400 into the Bilsteins, and wasn't about to
toss them and then spend $1300 on something like the H+R setup
just for coilovers.
performance is good because GC uses the Eibach Race springs.

There are several guys on the list who use this setup, and I believe
every one of them is happy with it.

hth!
