It's not just A1 VW springs that they screw up, my old roommate put
Eibachs on a 240Z and it made the front end sit higher, than the rear.
I've heard that happening on other Eibach applications, as well. 
Did your Scirocco sit level with the Eibachs?

Other than verifying part numbers, is there a way to distinguish Turbos
from Progas'?
