Re: Repair Horror Story

I used to have problems with our local Firestone dealer. Everything they
ever touched has been replaced. In fact, the only reason we ever went
back was to get the "Lifetime Guarenteed" shocks replaced under warantee
every six months or so... (Mind you, this was when I was young and
stupid, and will never put generic parts on Fritz now!)

In '93, we found our mechanic we have had to this very day. We trust
this guy so much that we can drop off a car and say "Fix anything that is
wrong with the car" and we know we won't get screwed! In fact, our only
problem with the guy is that he is *too* honest! We have dropped off a
car and told him if it costs less than $500, to just do it. He'll chase
us down and tell us it's $156 before he'll fix it. Annoying, yes. But
of all the things I could complain about, I can easily live with this
one...

If anyone in the northern VA area needs a good foriegn car mechanic, let
me know!
