Did ATE Power Discs Ate My Pads?!

Hey all.

I brought the car in yesterday to change my cluch
and I was checking the grooves in my discs to see
how they're wearing down, and noticed that my pads
are almost finished!!

Is it possible that because of the grooves the brake
pad wasn't bitting properly? I changed them both in
August.
