Re: Timing belt cover / Seats



Since I rebuilt my 2.0, my upper belt cover has been sitting in the
garage.  I've driven it for 4 years now without incident and I like the
idea of being able to take a quick look at the belt from time to time.  I
don't think it wise to go without the lower cover though.  Not to
mention, I'm lazy so when it comes time to replace the timing belt I like
to have that little arrow telling me that the bottom end is TDC.

As far as the seats, you may need to remove the bottom pad and cut some
of the foam off of the bottom side.  Depending on how much room you need,
you may end up with a gap between the upper and lower halves of the seat.
 WCM sells the hog rings and pliers for the job of reattaching the cover.
