(non Rocc) $5,000 dragster

Sorry for the non Rocc question, but the list is
so dead right now I didn't think it would hurt.

If you had $5,000 (including price of car) to
build a drag-car, and it could be any car, what
would you do? yes, what would you do? Would you go
VW? V8? Austin Mini? Mini Van? Hmmmm (deep
thinking mode).
