Bad engine news

YAHOOOOO!!!!! I never thought I'd be this excited about my pressure
plate coming apart, but that was the noises!
On a related note, there were some small soft pieces of metal in the
bottom of the oil pan. They would bend in my fingers. Anyone have a clue
what they might be from? I turned the engine over by hand and no noise.
