[tech] engine swap for air-cooled beetle (could be scirocco)

Personally, Id say stick with a type1 (bug) or type 4 (late bus/914) motor.
Have you ever seen a watercooled car beat a worked bug in a drag race? Not
often!

If you are dead set on changing the motor, Id say go with a Subaru boxer
motor, preferrably the WRX, depending on what side of the ocean you live
on... That should keep you busy...

Remember, watercooled cars need radiators-- there is almost NO place on a
bradley for one of those things... also, the motor in a H20 Vw is 'taller'
and longer. you will have to make body mods, too.

The Scooby should go in with minor clearancing, but it hangs real low. If
you lower the car more than 3", it'll prolly drag.

Again, you can't beat the price and the sheer 'lawnmower technology' of a
bug motor.
