The turnsignals are different but not that different. All Euro turnsignals
have
only one on setting "Blink". The US version has two on settings "Blink" and
"Marker."
The Euro standard does not use the marker feature.
This is why the bulb and socket have only two contacts + and Gnd. In Europe
the
parking lights are the City lights (small bulbs that sit in the headlight).
The Euro turnsignal has no reflector but you can't tell on a MK1 V2.
Now the MK1 V1 has no extra side marker in Europe and what a difference
that makes to the car! You can fit the same bulb in the housing but you
need to use the US socket if you want it to blink and mark.
