'scuse me fellas, but there WAS a 2.0 16V in the '91 and '92 GTI... there
was also an 8V, not sure if it was 1.8 or 2.0L... but there was definitely
a 2-liter 16-valve motor both years.  Same plant as in the Passat at the
same time (and my car now.. wink).
