Re: Relocating battery to trunk.

I hear the best place to mount a battery in the trunk is somewhere on the
passenger side of the car (better balance). When I put my battery in the
trunk, I looked at a few different places. I ruled out around the back
seat because the car was still my daily driver at that point and I needed
that space. I have since taken out the back seats. But I digress... I
have also seen people put them in the spare tire hole, which
unfortunately, requires loosing the spare tire. This may not be an
option. I couldn't put it on the passenger side of the trunk because I
coudn't find a way to get to the bolts for the battery under the car. I
ended up putting it on the driver's side all the way in the back. It may
not be the best place, but it was simple and I haven't had a problem with
handling.

BTW, Summit sells a complete kit with mounting brackets, box, connectors
and more cable than you could possibly need for $40. I think the site is
www.summitracing.com.
