ARP headbolts: opinion?

<x-charset iso-8859-1>
    hey ya'll, i've got me a set of ARP headbolts on my 16V, and was
wondering what ya'll thought of them. i've heard that they're good and bad.

    good cuz they don't stretch, therefore are reusable. tho, i've also
heard that even if you install them properly (i.e., torque em down, drive
around, torque em down again, drive around some more, torque em down again),
they still end of leaking on you after a time.

    anyone ever hear of leakage issues? me and a mate just pulled my head
off a couple of days ago, and there's all kinds of corrosion around some of
the cylinders (both on the head and block). plus the headgasket gave up
between cylinder 4 and one of the coolant passages.

    can the stock headbolts be used in a head that's been shaved down to its
maximum tolerance? (i'm going to see if it can be shaved down some more)

    thanks.
