I read an article about a local SCCA region that got a YUGO and had the 
YOU-GO-FASTER (or something) race.
the only mods they did to it were free ones (take crap off)...

For like $10, the different members took 'fun runs' in the car to see who 
was the better driver. It raised a few bucks for the club!
