Rollbar

I have been looking into getting a rollbar for my '82 for some time. 
But, as usual, I can never make anything easy.  The problem I have is a
large aftermarket sunroof I installed 6 years ago.  I"m afraid that the
handle, which sits about even with the trailing edge of where the
B-pillar meets the roof, will get in the way of the rollbar.  None of the
companies I have spoken to have been able to tell me where the rollbar
should run in relation to the top of the b-pillar.  I"m hard pressed to
special order something that I may not be able to use.  

So my question is this:  Can someone out there measure how far back the
front of the roll bar is from the trailing edge of the top of the
b-pillar?  Or does someone happen to know of someone who can custom build
one of these things who is in the Washington DC area?
