RE: Opening wing windows

<x-charset iso-8859-1>I assume the wing vents are tempered, like any other glass in the car. I
knew of a guy who was doing some interesting things to his Bug, among them a
pop-out rear window. He was trying to put hinges at the top and latches at
the bottom. Very creative, and pretty cool. He ended up getting the
hardware and attaching it with some sort of adhesive because once glass is
tempered, you can't drill it without it shattering.

I've thought about it. I would need a drill bit which can drill through
glass. I guess that will be one of the items on my "to do" list. Has anyone
else attempted this feat.
