SV: crazy bulbs in my Euro lights???

They are called parking lights. If you stop at the side of the
road with motor problem you can leave your parking lights on,
meaning good visibility to other drivers and you save your
battery. Earlier you could use them in Sweden at daytime but
rules changed so now you need to have your H4 lit during days
to.

came accross some

headlights (euro's)I saw a second small bulb off to the outside
edge on the back wall next to the H4's. It was in both lamps.
Upon further inspection, I was able to reach behind and twist it
out. Neither of them are connected to any wires. Is this some
kind of daytime running light or something? I thought it might
have been a blinking light from an alarm or something, but these
slots look factory, as well as the twist in bulb holders, and
the bulbs are clear.
