Mk1 or 16v? Was: Bitten by the bug hard . . The Audi Bug!

So when I get a Scirocco in the next month or so for autocrossing, should I
get an MK1 8V, or a 16V rocco? They race in the same class, so I was assuming
that I should go with the 16V... what's the list's opinion? I'd really prefer
to race the fastest car possible for the class I'm in.
