re: eurosport

i have seen this type of classification different, and the way i
believe it is:
A1
scirocco MK1, MK2
Rabbit
Jetta MK1
A2
Corrado
Golf MK1
Jetta Mk2
A3
Golf MK2
Jetta MK3
correct me if im wrong, but thats the way i think it is.

===============================================
Pretty much, they must be using MK1, MK2, etc as A1, A2, etc.

A1 (vw designations)
Rabbit (USA) (Golf 1) 1974-1984
Rabbit Convertible/Cabriolet 1980-1993
Jetta 1 (1980?-1984)
Scirocco 1 &2 (1974-1992)

A2
Golf 2 (1985-1992)
Jetta 2 (1985-1992)
Corrado (1989-1995)

A3
Golf 3 (1993 U.S.-1998)
Jetta 3 (Vento in Europe) (1993 U.S.-1998)

A4
New Beetle, etc.

By the way, A1 cars are still in production in South Africa . . . you can still buy an A1 Golf and a Caddie (Rabbit Pickup).
