New Key will not fit in Ignition

Hey 
I bought A new key from the dealer you know the really cool one with
the cover and light and it will open the door and the hatch but will
not start the car.  The key will not slide into the ignition all of the
way and from the looks of it its identical. Has anyone else bought one
of these and had problems?
