the ABA shortblock is a "tall block" and is 16.5mm taller than the 9A.
The bore and the stroke are the same, but the connecting rod lengths and the piston heights are
different.

I think the 8v pistons are dished. Putting the 16v head on the ABA will give you a very low compression
ratio.
