brake question

ok....has anyone just upgraded their late mk2 scirocco that originally had
a 20mm master cylinder to a 22mm one?......is it
overkill?....improvement?...dangerous?.....jsut curious.....i'm gettin an
A1 jetta that i was thinking of doing this to, and dont want to put the
10.1 in brakes on, unless i run into a pair fairly cheap (not likely)
