RE: Idle Stabilizer Valve?

not *exactly* sure about the 8V's, but it looks like a copper and silver
tube about 4 inches long and about 1.5 inches around. it has a 1 inch
rubber hose coming out of each end. it also has an electrical
connection on it. one of the hoses goes to the rubber intake tube, the
other goes to the intake manifold. when you turn the key on (with the
motor off), it will hum. you can put your hand on it and feel it, that
way you'll know that's the one.

the best way to clean it is to remove it. it's very easy, just
disconnect the hoses from either end, pop off the electrical connection
and pull it out of it's little home. then squirt some carb cleaner in
there , swish, and then dump it out. keep going until it comes out
clean. that's it.
