Remove your fuel filter and dump the remaining fuel out of the inlet side
into a glass container.  From my experience the chances are pretty good that
you will see little black coffee-ground-like flakes of rust.  If so you will
need to replace your fuel tank and flush out the rest of the fuel system.
If not..........
