Passat rear disks the same?

The subject line says it all....before I buy some Passat rear rotors,
provided they are in good shape, are they the same as the rears we have on
our cars?? I just starting getting a grinding sound and a "clicking"
feeling thru the pedal today. It is coming from the rear.........so, now's
a good time to get better rotors and pads, even though I was going to come
springtime anyway. 

ps...mine were damn near WHIPPED to start with.
