RE: 16v Distributor

Is it a 16v head? I'm assuming so since your subject line says "16v
Distributor," tho you aren't talking about the distributor.

If there's oil on top of the plug, you've got a leak in your valve cover
gasket around where it seals the pass-through hole for the spark plug. If
it's not a LOT of oil, it's not a big deal (my #3 does it, too), but it
probably should be replaced eventually. If you need to take out the plug,
try to soak up the oil first to try to keep it from getting into the
cylinder. Since the 16v plug connectors have a "seal" at the top of the
valve cover, the oil shouldn't have any dirt in it, which means that It
shouldn't hurt anything, but it'll just smoke out your exhaust a little when
you first restart it after changing your plugs.
