RE: Exhaust tip

Getting in late on this post but.......I have a dual 2.5 slash cut, baffled
Monza tip. I like it although the asthetics of the thing could be a little better.
i.e. the yellow seperating the chrome and the black shrink paint is just yellow
electric tape. Chrome showed a little pitting out of the box. Yellow inside pipe
quickly blackened (no cat, i expected it somewhat). The only real prob is that
it hardly fits length wise onto my tail pipe since the Scirocco has a hanger on
the tailpipe. I had to cut off everything past the hanger on the pipe and
cutdown nearly everything till the tip split. I like the looks though and the baffling
took the rasp out of my idle and gave it a deeper tone. HTH.

Uhm, don't get me wrong..
but I don't think that there is anything wrong
with a nice chrome exhaust tip...  Now if you
put a chrome tip that you think is gonna make
a nice performance upgrade, you've got a
serious problem.  but I have a chrome tip
on my car, and I'd shudder at anyone saying I'm a
ricer.  =)

The original post wasn't about anyone wanting
a performance upgrade, it was asking what
people would suggest for an exhaust tip.  I think
he wanted a good looking tip, that won't change
the note his car is currently singing.
