yeah, I'd put them in the dash so that they fire up into the glass.  That's
your best bet for good imaging, and it'll have the added bonus of
brightening things up a bit (you indicated that's the kind of sound you
like).  Putting the tweets in the doors, firing right across at the other
seat, will keep the image down around dash level.  It won't be as
well-resolved, either...

Rear fill is sometimes a good thing.  I don't have it in my car (just
a/d/s/ 6.5" separates in the doors) but it does add something to the sound.
Since you've got all these extra drivers to play with, why not put the 6.5"
woofers back there, low-passed so that they're not producing anything above
1khz or so?  That way they'll add midbass and depth without drawing the
image back around your head.  I'd recommend against putting the 5.25s back
there for just that reason...

The net.wisdom on kickpanels is to aim them up at the headliner in between
the two passengers.  I've never played with them myself so I can't really
offer any advice....
