RE: Virus warning

Im not meaning to further this thread in anyway but...... this is a real virus. Our help desk has been fixing this thing all morning on our company machines. I didnt really read the post in depth since I have already gotten two from our network people. But a attachment is a attachment and if you run it you can get a virus. the 99 virus thing is real, I dont know for sure what it does though. End of story. Back to scirocco stuff please.

Yah, I agree. This is probably a Hoax and something that we should only
worry about if we get a virus. Protect your computer with some kind of real
time virus scanning software or something and let us do the same.
Most virus warnings of this nature are just a dumbass trying to worry the
average Joe.

uhm... dunno if I'd call him a COMPLETE idiot. I work in the Computer
Industry and if that makes him a COMPLETE idiot then that would also include
about 80% of the rest of the people in our country, or the world for that
matter. I know some VERY intelligent people out there that would make the
same mistake. I'd just call him/her ignorant. Try to educate them better,
then if they do it again.. then, they would get my stamp of disapproval.

Remember, this person was trying to do us a favor and warn us even if we
didn't need it. Not spam us with how to get rich or try to sell us some
online drugs.
