Yah, I seem to remember someplace that the jetstream only goes from
60-120knots.. which is roughly equivalent to 69.1mph-138.2 mph...
the plane would then have to be able to achieve 650mph.. which I do think is
impossible.. the airspeed indicator only shows 450-500 knots on a 747.
450 knots = 518.2 mph    so if you were going the fastest the jetstream
goes.. 138+518 mph.. then you would still only be going approximately 656mph
landspeed.

I could be wrong.. these are guestimates.. but I get these facts from fairly
reliable sources...
