Vacuum lines

I want to put all new vacuum lines on my car because they are old and I think 
they are causing it to idle bad. Is there anywhere I can get a complete set 
for a 16v Scirocco or do I just buy some from the local auto parts store? My 
car has hard plastic lines, do I have to replace them with hard plastic lines 
or can I use rubber lines? Thanks!!
