car problems

hey all,

so I've just begun to experience this new problem with 
the zender roc.  Last night I came to a stop to turn the car off, and
the dash lights flickered, then the car died.  
All electrics still worked except for the dash lights.
Car wouldn't fire, but just turn over.  I checked the fuel pump relay,
and it was clicking over just fine.
So I let it sit for about two minutes, and then tried it again.
Of course, it fired right up and the dash lights worked again.

So, it looks like I have some sort of short somewhere, but I can't
figure it out.  What would cause the dashlights to go out and the 
car to die/not start simultaneously?

the worst part is that I may have to wait for it to die again before 
I can figure out what the problem is....

btw, this is the second time this happened....
