    I'd also recommend using 1/2" or 3/4" aluminum angle underneath for
strength. You can use small machine bolts or rivets to attach. I used rivets
then covered it with carpet. I used 1" aluminum since I ha a pair of 6x9
speakers mounted in the deck.
