Thanks for your reply. I was afraid of the answer you gave me!!! Is it the
ignition switch or the solenoid/starter that is at fault???

I really think I check the solenoid/starter correctly (my neighbor the
electrician was there to make sure I didn't screw up).

When I turn the key, every thing comes on battery indicator, engine temp,
oil, lights radio, etc...but  no fuel pump!

Should I take out  the solenoid/starter and have it check? Or should I go to
the mechanic and let him find the problem?
