Over here at that time, VW USA had its head firmly up its arse (much
like now) and re-named everything.  Our Quantum was your passat.
The inline-5 doesn't fit very well in the FWD cars :)

I think I should sell some BORA badges to US folks.  "new" Jetta my ass...
